The studio excellence transfers well to their live set, it is something to behold on a live recording from 2015 at the Rock In Rio festival, imaginatively titled Live In Rio. The 16-track album “Rise” is one of the purest, most unapologetic and enjoyable rock and roll albums of recent times, made by masters of the craft and true fans of the form.

Upon arrival today to the venue in Slovakia to begin set up for tonight’s performance, it quickly became clear that the construction of the facility was incomplete, and therefore unsafe for both the band and the general public. There are also great versions of Cooper’s ‘School’s Out’ which, as in the studio, interpolates ‘Another Brick In The Wall’ as well as ‘Billion Dollar Babies’ and Aerosmith’s take (but heavier) on the classic ‘Train Kept a-Rollin’’ leading to the closing genius interpretation of ‘Brown Sugar. Maybe it's just all in the eye (ear) of the beholder, or maybe I've just watched too many Tina S videos. I too am early retired giving me more time to listen to my fave bands…GnR, Maiden, Acdc and my first loves Rainbow and DP. When Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp decided to start with Hollywood Vampires, surely fun and good rock music was in the center of attention.

Rock in Rio is not only one of the most famous festivals, but also where Hollywood Vampires recorded their first live album. Adding Cooper‘s “School’s Out” running into “Another Brick In The Wall,” which he has done on his solo tours, is a fun way to drive the last few songs. Books, media, tickets, Rammstein, Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen, Feine Sahne Fischfilet, Broilers, New Balance, Böhse Onkelz, Funko Pop!The name has its origins in a drinking club created by Alice Cooper in the 70s; it became the perfect name as Cooper, joined by Joe Perry, Johnny Depp and numerous guests issued a titular album in 2015 to commemorate friends that passed under the influence of drink and/or drugs. Their tradition is to play a riotous tribute to the great lost heroes of music and their own original material, released on their recent studio album "Rise". I'm not sure it's important to name names; they were obviously men of varied talents and a collective oneness that came together under the umbrella of safety in numbers along with a fondness for channeling the ghosts of hedonists past. Perry brings his guitar to life effortlessly, coming as close as anyone could ever get to replicating the feel and tone of the legendary Jimmy Page.

He is not just another actor who wants to be a rock star; he fits the part, and being on the stage having to be on a certain level like Perry and the others, is a credit to his talent. on the Billboard 200, Cooper said: "We looked at each other and went, 'Let's do another album, but let's make this one original. I haven’t seen the accompanying DVD yet, but it will be worth the wait, it surely captures a class assembly of musicians having a ball and involving every member of the 100,000 audience in a superb concert.
