About this deal

Exhibit this striking cultural art piece at home, in the office or as part of a private collection with our custom top-of-the-range wall display solution. This feels like cheating, and it decreases the usefulness of the parts if you decide to disassemble the set and use the parts to build something else. When I first bought my Tokyo set, I felt something was missing, like it should light up in some way.

Despite never having visited Tokyo, I was immediately drawn to the bright colors and the staggered composition. With our innovative new design, collectors can showcase their LEGO Japan micro-scale brick-built city in style against a black rear base, with a silhouette of the famous city directly applied to the acrylic in a light gold gradient. This is also sensible given the small-scale nature of the build and the fiddliness of applying stickers to such tiny surfaces.More model, and helping the finished model to stand out when compared to previous Skylines sets which have lacked natural landmarks. LEGO® bricks are tested in every way you can imagine to ensure that every LEGO Architecture building set meets the highest safety standards and your Tokyo souvenir model is as robust as it is beautiful. Much like the real city, 21051 Tokyo manages to pack an awful lot into a relatively small space and although there's a diverse mix of colours and building styles, nothing clashes. Brick-a-brac is a UK based e-commerce retailer specialising in discontinued, rare and exclusive LEGO products.

With so much traffic, there is no wonder why the buildings are covered with signs and displays—comparisons with New York’s Times Square are perfectly reasonable! I expected to really enjoy my trip to Tokyo through LEGO bricks, but was ultimately disappointed by the uninspired building techniques and over-reliance on printed parts.

Aside from the base which is too wide, the proportions are reasonably close to those of the real building. Despite serious misgivings about the individual elements within the model, the completed set is lighthearted, cheery, and will look good on your desk or bookshelf. The model offers a number of useful new parts and an enjoyable construction process full of techniques and details to keep the interest of the builder. Unfortunately, the LEGO re-creation is not interesting, although it does establish an immediately recognizable backdrop for the model.
