It steams a small portion of vegetables well but then so does a microwave. While it slow cooks, it doesn’t create the melt-in-your mouth results that you typically get from slow cooking.

Using the Speedi is easy. With a mode set, it’s a matter of setting the target temperature and then the cook time. For any option involving steam, there’s a pre-heat phase before the main cooking time is started; regular modes just start the timer automatically. For the latter, I needed to add a few minutes to the cooking time, compared to an air fryer with a pre-heat function.

In the Flanders house it's a definitely four thumbs up all round, with Ninja moving air fryer technology into a revolutionary new direction. However, it is a solidly built kitchen appliance and looks like a high-quality item.
